Which for you was the Best Web Hosting for 2010?

Knownhost Hosting is the best for 2010. They recently announced a free upgrade for VPS customers. With the greater amount of RAM it means more output for our sites. Besides that up time and service is on par. I think of the whole of 2010 I only experienced five minutes total downtime.

I've been pretty happy with Hostmonster (the parent of Hostgator, and cheaper too for some reason) over the years, and have had very little downtime or snafus with them, but of course I don't run any large sites, just my collection of things for me, rpg-related, paranormal, etc, that maybe a hundred or two people visit per day so nothing like here or other larger sites.

As weird as this sounds I like my own hosting. I host my own sites from my box. That way I don't have to way no fees to no one and I can decide how things run.

I liked Hostgator because they have excellent staff support and they never had crashes. They were also friendly and helpful and they would help me with third-party scripts as well. None of my other hosts I had would do that for me!
