National mortgage rates on 30-year fixed mortgages remained stable at 4.70% on December 24, 2010, according to Zillow Mortgage Marketplace. As a comparison, state rates ranged from a low of 4.65% (AZ, HI) to a high of 4.97% (RI).

Compared to the week prior to December 24, 2010, the national 30-year mortgage rate is down 2 basis points from 4.72%. Compared to three months ago, the 30-year rate is up 44 basis points from its average rate of 4.26%.
