National mortgage rates on 30-year fixed mortgages remained stable at 4.73% on December 28, 2010, according to Zillow Mortgage Marketplace. As a comparison, state rates ranged from a low of 4.65% (AZ) to a high of 4.91% (MT).

Compared to the week prior to December 28, 2010, the national 30-year mortgage rate is up 3 basis points from 4.70%. Compared to three months ago, the 30-year rate is up 51 basis points from its average rate of 4.22%.
