Some times it is easier to shop on line and get the items delivered to you door so you do not have to go out and deal with people who are up to no good. Or people who are driving while distracted with their cell phones, High or even drunk. It is much safer to stay home and not have to deal with rude, obnoxious and indifferent people at the best.

What the person above said is true but it could also be a reason to make us more like couch potatoes. Now we don't even want to go out to shop just now there will be no reason to go out at all!

Amazon Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

Yes there is always that as a factor now that you can get almost everything your need delivered to you front door. Why would one need to go out into the scary world if they can get all they need delivered. Amazon is doing just that and making some people feel much safer in their homes.

I think that as Amazon keeps working on their delivery system we will soon be seeing changes in the way we get packages. Everyone is very familiar with UPS and Fed-ex trucks pulling up to their houses to bring them goodies that they have ordered. I do wonder what the Amazon system will actually consist of.

Anyone ever play ShadowRun? More and more, the megacorps are coming into play, with billions of dollars spent by their lobbists to influence the government in various ways. This used to be called 'bribery' but is now considered the cost of doing business. I think I'll play an Elf decker in this upcoming universe.
