This Thread will be used to examine the Mormon interpretation for the word(s) / name(s) called "Leprosy" from the scriptures. What does Leprosy mean in the literal sense and in scripture as Mormons know it?

Leprosy was a disfiguring and filthy disease, it was not defined as one disease, it might have included ringworm, scabies, mildew, fungus, etc. Read Leviticus chapters 13-15 for examples.

I don't understand why people who had these issues were treated worst than dogs, where was the compassion shown in these cases?
