Rick Santorum officially jumps into 2016 race
Rick Santorum is running for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, the Associated Press and ABC News reported. The former U.S. Senator and House member will formally launch his campaign at an event later today in Butler County, Pa., near his boyhood home. Santorum, 57, also sought the GOP nomination in 2012 and mounted a surprisingly strong run, narrowly winning the Iowa caucuses. He'll face long odds again, however, in breaking through in a crowded GOP field. Ref. USAToday
