Nigel Brathwaite, who was stabbed multiple times by a jealous suitor at a bar on Tuesday, died from a stab wound to the heart, an autopsy found yesterday.
Brathwaite, 35, was attacked after he struck up an innocent conversation with a waitress, police said. He was slapped across the face by a man who accused Brathwaite of trying to woo his lover.
His attacker pulled a knife and stabbed Brathwaite several times in the chest, piercing the left side of his heart, police were told.
