Gabrielle Giffords Fatally Shot
The news gave me the shivers. She was shot this morning at close range by a gunman outside a grocery store in Tucson, Arizona. Eight other people (including her aides) were also shot, 4 people also died.

There are mixed reports about Senator Gabrielle Giffords. Right now Fox News is actually saying she is alive but in a critical condition and fighting for her life.

This country is becoming more insecure and closer to civil unrest. Just imagine, now senators will have to be accompanied by the Secret Service is they just show their face in public.
I also heard that she died and then later that she was in surgery.

Two updates. The first one seems to indicate that Mrs. Giffords could possibly recover but the first 3 to 4 days are critical.
Second, there is a suspect and is 22 year old Jared Loughner a political radical who used to explain videos on youtube about mind control. He met Mrs. Giffords back in 2007 and after he asked her a question and she replied, he thought she was "stupid and unintelligent".
