Orange Sky Band

The local roots rock band called, 'Orange Sky' has been around for some eight years and they are trying to get themselves well established internationally now. What is your view on the band?

They show the band's concert on TV 6 today...I think they're really good. I like the variety of rock, reggae and other backgrounds that they use in their songs.

i think theyre really good. I went to their concert the other day (even though i typically dont care for the rock scene)...they have amazing energy..and i really like their mix. Part of me doesnt think that they will be completely accepted internationally, because i can barely understand some of their lyrics. On the other hand, reggae/rock bands such as 311, along with several Jamaican artistes, have been quite successful, so you never know!

i wish them luck though!  ;)

Cookie, I agree with you too now do you all think that they should take care of their 'image' too? (personal appearance) I'm not trying to sound frivolous... but I think the way the group looks is important too.

but I think thats the look theyre going for
so many of these bands look alike.
theyre trying to be different, and it's working
you can spot Nigel Rohas (the lead singer) from a distance

I guess they just dont wanna get lost in the sea of new artistes out there

I'm going to be reviewing their debut CD for a site I have heard about them but I have never heard their music. It's about time something other than soca music had a chance to emerge from Trinidad.

Orange Sky Band

Orange Sky is one of my favorite bands. I saw Rowley on the news criticizing the government because apparently they hired the band to go and play in India. I don't like Rowley per se but I think in this case he's right, in what way the band playing in India is helping us here?
