I guess that truly depends on what your view of god is. I personally think that if god exists, then we are to insignificant for god to really care what we do. If you believe in the bible or the koran, then you have to believe that god can be offended by our actions here on earth. Both books document times when god became offended and upset at the actions and behaviors of people on the earth.

Can Man Offend God? Revealed Bible The

God is a jealous God; he says it himself. But, it says throughout the Bible that "...God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life." So He can forgive you for anything and will forget your transgressions because Jesus, His Son, is by His side all the time. But it also says in the Bible that, though it is wrong to blaspheme Him, you should never, not even DARE blaspheme the Holy Ghost for It is the power of the Lord.

So what your saying is that God only becomes offended at the Holy Spirit being blasphemed? I'm not sure how this actually relates to the question and thus will not tackle the subjects you started in this thread. If man were created in gods image, and man can be easily offended, then it goes without saying that god could and would be offended. The bible shows that hands down. Truly, if he was all powerful god, then no sacrifice would be needed, he could just forgive people with no sacrifice of animal or human or his son at all. But the requirement for the shedding of blood is his alone, which shows the ability to hold things against us, which shows that he can and does (if I believed he existed) get offended to the point of requiring blood to be shed to appease him.

Comments: God exists on a dimension well beyond our ability to comprehend. As sentient 3-dimensional beings, we have dominion over the earth and all other objects 3-dimensional, 2-dimensional, 1-dimensional, and 0-dimensional. As sentient beings, we can even name a "4th" dimension, and we call it time. In fact, anything in any dimension which "moves" establishes a new dimension ... A 0-dimensional object (a point in space) "moves" along a 1-dimensional line, a 1-dimensional object (a line) "moves" and creates a 2-dimensional object, a 2-dimensional object (planar surface) "moves" to create a 3-dimensional object, which moves inexorably through this 4th dimension (time). God exists on an infinite dimension, and is well beyond time (all of time is within the confines of God's presence) and time has no sway over God (nor do any of the other dimensions). How we, as sentient 3-dimensional objects, can ascertain that we have "offended" God (even the word and definition are withing limited dimensions) is simply an extension of our ego.

Regarding God's requirement for sacrifice to remedy our fallen condition, that symbolic aspect is (to me, in my limited sentience) simply for OUR benefit. God loves us (His children) and understands that we are failed, limited, and need to grow our Faith through expressions that we don't even really understand. Never will ... Not while limited to this 3-dimensional existence, and moving through our limited perception of time. Thanks for reading.
