Home vs. Temple? or Home like Temple?
Think of the Temple, if you have been there you know how peaceful a place it is to be. You do not worry about outside events and hurts, but instead focus on the things of God. Your spirit is uplifted and you feel happy. We are told many times that only the Home can compare with the Temple. Now think about it, what kind of home do you have, could you compare it with the temple? Something to make you reflect huh?

I never said it would be easy...
Don't worry Farseer, we all struggle with it. Remember in the temple they do not have to contend too much with kids However, it does make you think about what the Lord expects of us that He is willing to associate a home with his Holy Home.
Oh gosh, what a topic! everytime I try to get out of the house because of all the noise, I cannot even compared it to the Temple! My son is what some doctors refers to as 'spirited child' and definetly I think he has a very big spirit to fit in such a small body My home maybe not as peaceful as the Temple but I do think it has the Love that we feel when we are in the Temple.
"Our families need the peace of God in their lives, and if we can't or won't invite the Lord into our lives, then our families become a reflection of our own turmoil. Women are asked to be nurturers to their families, but we must also be firm; we must be the hard rock footings on which our homes can stand. Our families need us to speak peace to them, just as the Lord speaks peace to us. Our homes need to be places where our families and friends want to be, where all who enter our homes can draw strength and courage to face the challenges of living in an increasingly wicked world. Our children need to hear us 'talk of Christ, . . . rejoice in Christ, [and] preach of Christ' (2 Nephi 25:26) so that they may know to what source they can look for the peace that 'passeth all understanding' (Philippians 4:7)."

It is a good thing that we are the traffic cops. It is our responsibility to monitor everything that comes into our homes even if our kids hate us for it.
