global warming Global warming has been in and out as the "latest" hot topic for many years. It is, according to modern scientists, the result of man-made industrial pollutants, clearing forested areas, agriculture, etc. But now they are thinking it started way before the Industrial Revolution...

Global Warming: Natural Or Man-made? - Page 36

Everyone is meeting to Discuss climate change and for those who believe its all hogwash like Genn Beck you know this Copenhagen scenario is going to be fuel for his show, here is his latest with transcript:

international QUOTE (Glenn Beck)
Copenhagen CO2

The big climate change conference is coming up, and it's already been conceded that nothing groundbreaking will happen as a result of the meetings. Considering the carbon footprint of this event is larger than what 60 countries produce in an entire year...combined...maybe they should get something done since they are hurting the environment so much. Perhaps participants feel a little less guilty now that it's apparent, thanks to the ClimateGate emails, much of the global warming hype is exactly that. Glenn rants on Copenhagen 09. Ref. Source 8

Man-made Natural Warming Global

My Mom reported 3-4 inches of global warming fell in town yesterday. Apparently, Al Gore has gone to the Tiger Woods School of Media Relations as he has yet to even talk or acknowledge the Climate-Gate emails. The ground swell of need to honestly debate the subject gets the silent treatment from the king of the movement and they go on with a gigantic sorie where they generate more than 60 country's yearly carbon footprint in a few days. I am sure they will plant a dozen trees to offset it (just make sure they arent Christmas Trees).

Should we decrease our polution output? Certainly, but smartly.

However, I just feel that people like Gore are so vested in the Global Warming/Climate Change Religion that the thought that they might have been wrong (which should be a great day for us) frightens them to death. They lack the ability or capability to admit they might be wrong.

Again, we should work on making the environment better. Everyone should, but the fact that there are emails that clearly talk about a "trick" with the data that need be done to support their theories is disingenous at best. I am a engineer and deal with large quantities of data. If I did what these emails line out and got caught, the likelihood is I would be fired and at minimum my credibility with in the engineering community in my company would be zero. I expect no less from these guys playing with so manys livelihoods.

Green on display at Copenhagen summit

COPENHAGEN - From the moment one's airplane descends from the thick fog above Copenhagen, there is no doubt that this city has been given over to the United Nations climate summit. "Stop climate change!" reads a giant yellow sign on a boat moored just below the flight path. Before travelers even clear customs, they are hit with a barrage of summit-related ads - including one showing an aged President Obama in the year 2020, apologizing for world leaders' failure to stop the planet from warming. We turn now to one of Nigeria's best-known environmental leaders, Nnimmo Bassey. He is the founder of Environmental Rights Action in Nigeria, and he serves as the international chair of Friends of the Earth. He has campaigned against Shell Oil's presence in the Niger Delta for nearly two decades. Last night he spoke at the opening of Klimaforum09. His forthcoming book is titled To Cook a Continent: Destructive Extraction and the Climate Crisis in Africa. Ref. Source 9

"Would You Commit Murder?" - 15-Year-Old Maldives Climate Ambassador Asks World Leaders to Take on Climate Change

One the countries on the front lines of climate change is the Maldives. Eighty percent of the land lies three feet or less above the waves. The predicted sea level rise caused by global warming could wipe the country off the map. We speak with fifteen-year-old Maldives climate ambassador, Mohamed Axam Maumoon. On his message to the world, Maumoon says, "On the basis that you know what you are doing is wrong and you can see that the victim is begging for mercy"¦would you commit murder?" Ref. Source 7

"This Text Is an Extremely Dangerous Document for Developing Countries": G77 Chief Condemns Secret US-Danish Climate Deal

The UN climate talks are in disarray here in Copenhagen after developing countries reacted furiously to leaked documents that show world leaders will next week be asked to sign an agreement that hands more power to rich countries and sidelines the UN's role in all future climate change negotiations. Moments before we went on the air, Lumumba Stanislaus Di-Aping, the Sudanese chair of the group of 132 developing countries known as G77, condemned the leaked document. Ref. Source 5
