I love to go shopping. I am on a real strict budget now, but I have never felt pressured to buy when I had the money. I love to be in the stores, checking out the products. I like to watch the other customers too.
When I go grocery shopping I take a list. And I CAN NOT deviate from it.
I love to shop the thrift stores too, and to go to Garage Sales. I found a great buy at the last thrift store I went to. Got a Victor Food Grinder ~ just like Grandma used to use ~ with all the parts for only $3.00. They sell new for over $21.00!! I use mine to grind my own hamburger out of cheap pot roasts.
Oh, one type of shopping I truly hate, and that is Car shopping. Have to think way too much. Gives me a real killer headache.
I love shopping, with living within a short drive away from a city centre you kind of get used to being surrounded by shops. Before you know it, you actually take it for granted
My Brother and his family have just moved to the hills in the middle of nowhere, and the first thing I thought about was how it would drive me mad with there being no shops around.
I kind of impulse shop for small things, but would never impulse shop for a major appliance or vehicle, I would feel too guilty afterwards!
My grocery shopping tends to be repetitive, so it never normally goes up in price much and it saves having to rely on a list.
I always love to visit new malls or stores just to see what they have to offer. If I am going out alone, I usually make a list of all the things I need and normally, I don't always adhere to that list, sincere my shopping philosophy is, "if it looks good then buy it!" or "when in doubt, buy all!" However, with groceries, I am more frugal. I will make a list and buy only what is on that list.
