Trinidad San Fernando Dog Pound

I saw some VERY disturbing pictures of the dog pound in San Fernando. I just couldn't believe the conditions these animals are placed. They look sickly, malnourished, depressed and overall, abused. Who is in charge of this dog pound and what is going on that no one in authority is overlooking the terrible conditions of this place? Whoever is in charge, needs to resign because as far as I am concerned, they are NOT doing their job! And the saddest thought is how many of the dogs pounds in the country are in the same exact shape or worst?

LDS, I saw those pics online too and I was devastated. I cannot believe the authorities of the San Fernando Dog Pound are allowing this sort of environment to take place and expect the dogs to stay there. It is clearly abuse and I hope the neighbors can feel some compassion and complain until that place is closed down!

Comments: After reading about this animal "Shelter" I don't know what to do...I rescued a small doggy from a hunger death and live in a apartment.. I have to give it up for adoption, but how can I trust this suppose to be shelter? He need a loving home urgently and is so intelligent and just came out of its shell to play and he needs love and food....what now ? I live in St Joseph village
