Don't be surprised if this strengthens the EU because it shows some countries that are rallying just how much the EU is liked for its economic benefits.

The EU only benefits struggling countries that should never been part of the EU. Europe has never been ready to give up any of its sovereignty to other nations and the EU only tries to disguise like everyone is unified but we are not.

The EU is an example of how global governance wishes to structure our nations. Sovereignty is ultimately the target, and as such, the seat of the EU, Brussels, may pass down legislation to the member parlements who may discuss the legislation, but may not veto or alter it aside from specified regulatory allowances. There are those who believe this indeed to be the rise of the Fourth Reich.
Top court rules that British leader must get Parliament's approval to trigger Brexit law
Britain's Supreme Court ruled that Prime Minister Theresa May does not have the authority to unilaterally trigger the legislation needed to begin the United Kingdom's departure from the European Union. The judgement, which says that lawmakers must approve Article 50 first, could complicate the U.K.'s route to Brexit after a majority of Britons voted to leave the 28-member EU at a referendum in June last year. May has vowed to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which starts the divorce process, by the end of March. Ref. BBC.
The European Union has set out its draft negotiating position on Brexit -- and it offers the possibility that trade talks could begin before the UK leaves the bloc.
The draft guidelines, seen by CNN, suggest a phased approach. Talks on trade could begin before the final divorce is complete, but only after progress is made on the complex task of untangling Britain from the EU.
In her letter triggering the UK's formal exit from the EU, British Prime Minister Theresa May had asked for a parallel approach from the start.
"The British government has indicated that it ... Would like to pursue an ambitious free trade agreement with the European Union. Based on the Union's interests, the European Council stands ready to initiate work towards such an agreement, to be finalised and concluded once the United Kingdom is no longer a Member State," the document, seen by CNN, says.
May formally triggered the Brexit process on Wednesday, firing the starting gun on a two-year effort to disentangle Britain from the European Union. Ref. CNN.
I think the EU was a great thing… for the wealthy nations of Northern Europe. I think the EU, and especially the Euro, went a long way towards crippling, at one time or another, many of the economies of Southern Europe, specifically Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
