Students huddled together in the aisles of a campus library at Florida State University early Thursday, waiting to be led out safely after a gunman opened fire on campus.

The gunman injured three people before he was shot and killed by campus police, officials said. At least one of the victims is in critical condition.

The shooting took place either inside or near Strozier library which sits in the center of campus at the school in Tallahassee. Ref. CNN

Law enforcement has identified the Florida State shooter as an attorney and alumnus of the school, the AP reports. Panic swept through the Florida State University library early Thursday when a rampaging gunman shot three people before being killed in a hail of police bullets, police said. FSU student Andrew Coffey, 20, of Pompano Beach was found unresponsive Friday morning, after a house party about a mile from campus.
