Q. Can anyone play Member Wars or do I have to be part of the RPG group?
A. Any member can play as it requires little intervention from the GM.
Q. What is the purpose of the game?
To help your character survive and reach high levels through various battles.
Q. Why isn't there a story line for the game?
A. We leave that up to you. If you want detailed scenario and interaction on a more realistic level then you need to join Medieval or Future Earth.
Q. Can I have more than one character?
A. No, one only.
Q. How do you update a character?
A. Depends on what you mean by 'update'. You can buy items that heal your character or change stats through the purchase of items. If you are talking about your character race, image or pic then you need to check your control panel (the same you use the update your regular forum stats - check the RPG section).
Q. What difference does your race make?
A. Nothing in battles, but for the scenario or clan you join it may matter.
Q. What is the benefit of being in a clan?
A. Knowing some will help you defeat an opponent, same order in a scenario, etc.
Q. I am trying to battle a bot but I keep getting a message saying that I am not in a current battle with a bot?
A. You need to ensure that you use the 'Battle Bots' link and not the 'Battle Ground' link which is used when you want to fight against members.
Q. I want to battle a bot, but it saying I can't because of my level, why is that?
A. You cannot battle a bot that is lower than your level as you would just keep winning - and we would not want that, now would we?
Q. I am using Netscape or another browser and I do not see anything happening with the battle?
A. The Battle system safely works in Internet Explorer, try it in that, if it still does not work then maybe you are doing something wrong. Has your opponent verified the battle - meaning, did they accept your battle request?
Q. Okay, so we have started the battle, where do I make the move?
A. On the battle page you will see various moves displayed under your character. Click on the move you want to make - they are updated every few seconds. Each move will either be about attacking with a weapon or a spell.
Q. What is the difference between a weapon attack and a spell attack?
A. A weapon attack requires you have HP, a spell attack requires that you have MP.
Q. What do all those acronyms mean?
Str = Strength
Def = Defense
MP = Magic Power
HP = Hit Points
Level = The rank of your character
Gil = The system of money used in Member Wars
Summons = Use MP to get a creature to fight for you
Q. What happens when I surrender?
A. You loose the battle, but at least you leave with your current stats.
