My Ancestor Signed The Declaration Of Independence - Page 2
I have ancestors that fought in the American Revolution and the Civil War. No great memorials to them though. They were simple dirt farmers, poor people. In fact one member of this family was run out of town for being poor, and this was after fighting in the War. (So, it seems the US has never been that good to it's veterans.) Anyway, one of my lines has both a father and a son who fought in the Civil War. One of the sons died at Gettysburg.
