Web Browser Review

Opera

I recently had to install this on a network computer and here is my review for it:

Lots of great features and I like the ease of which you can change the look. It really seeks to make you in control of it rather than the other way around like IE. It handles proxies well and loads pages very quickly. It also seems to have a superb caching system although I have not used it long enough to tell if it causes problems in trying to see updated pages. The only drawback is of course the ads that you have to put up with in the free version, but I am glad that at least you can resort to a simple text based ad, but again I am not sure if this means there is a conflict with spyware involved.

I'm using Opera right now and I like it. I have not tried all the features but it is very easy to use and it loads all the pages fast. I like the search engines at the top, it is very handy.

I like to use it as well. The best thing is that Opera is a good alternative to old Internet explorer and competition is always good. It is fast and has a lot a stuff that one can use and I hope they will keep developing this software..

Opera

Opera sure is a light and fast browser, which is available to a wide variety of platforms, but due to the ads, I prefer to use other browser alternatives, which stay clear of ads. Mozilla and Firefox for example. I also like the feature that allows you to change the identity of your browser. Opera is a great alternative to Internet Explorer, but I personally think that it can't compete with Mozilla and Firefox, especially when it comes to customization.

Opera

Since I am certainly not a "browser snob" I use several different browsers at different times, for different reasons. Generally, Mozilla is my choice, but I use Opera on occasion, as well as IE (the only one I can use on my work computer).

I have found that there are a lot of sites where Opera won't work at all, even if it identifies itself as IE or Netscape. This is frustrating, because Opera really is faster than any of the others to load pages.

The little bit that I have used it, I have found many, many more skins available for it than for Mozilla or Firefox. And they are very interesting, beautiful skins, as well.

In general, I really like using Opera. But I still use Mozilla for most things.
