"He needs water, too -- that will help flush out the poison", Kettle mumbles as she fishes in Alex's pack and pulls out a waterskin. She hands it to Heric and then begins digging through her own pack for a bloodstone but then she thinks... 'what am I doing, I have no such item, the heat of these activities makes me delarious.'
"Kettle I think you should look after Alex while LaReina and I look for a more secure location to rest, I will first check and clear the spider and see if it is adaquit, if it is we will then move there, so try to get Alex ready to move, oh and here is another torch *strike, strike, whoosh* we will be back in a as soon as possible", Heric says as he gets up from Alex, lights the torch and hands it to Kettle.
"Alex is not dead til his heart stops beating, so I'll carry him wherever we need to go."
Looking at LaReina and back at Kettle Heric wonders what will be their fate, and he begins to mutter a soft prayer in hopes Alex will recover...
"Let's go LaReina,we must hurry!"
LaReina and Heric proceed back to the room where they were attacked. You look carefully at all around you. This time you scower the area for clues but find nothing more than the green slime (blood or poison) of the spiders oozing from their bodies as well as the rags and sticky substance which you now believe to be spider web. You actually have a lot of that spider web attached to your legs and it slows you down somewhat.

Heric wraps Alex's body in his cloak and then carries him to the cave room where he lays him to 'rest' amongst the rags and web like substance.
You are reduced to three after not reaching very far and you think it more prudent to be on the lookout for trouble. You hold your sword tighter, your clothes are made to fit better and you ensure that none of your supplies are lost.
You move with two torches lit now and this helps you to see a bit better. You move on to the middle cave while looking back at Alex's misfortune and thinking... 'May you rest in peace Alex'.
The passage way leading into the room is not very long and after quiet steps you are within the outter edge of it. You shine your torch with more emphasis at the top. As you do so you hear some squeals and fluttering, but the overhead is too far up and your torch shines only into the darkness above. At the bottom you see what seems to be bird-like filth... lots of it. Your nose tingles by the urine like smell that encircles the room.
GM: Say what you will do now.
"I've seen enough!" says Kettle, covering her nose with her sleeve. "Let's move on."
Both packs strapped tightly on, dagger in hand, Kettle backs out of the doorway and moves quietly toward the last opening... "Let's hope this one is free from vermin..."
"I agree Kettle, we should move on", Heric says wrinkling his nose.
"I don't like the sound of birds either, but if birds are down here there must be a way out, right? At any rate we should not linger"
You manage to back out peaceably, or at least you believe it is in peace. You make your way to the entrance closest to the water. You shine your torch and see that it has a short passageway and then leads to a cave room of similar size and shape as the previous one, but without any smell or sign of droppings on the ground.
You walk in cautiously but are suddenly shocked to see some sort of creature with wings watching you. You step back a foot as a natural reflex, but soon see that the creature is not moving.
GM: Say what you will do now.
"What do you think that is?" Heric asks quietly to whoever is listening.
"A statue perhaps?"
You proceed back into the cave room. Your torch's light falls upon the outline of the foe that scared you - a statue. It is of a demon of sorts. It's teeth fanged, face horid, wings of a bat and quite muscular. It is in a stance of attack. Next to it is a hole in the ground. You can see the outline of a ladder going down. In the room is nothing else of interest as far as you can determine by just looking.
GM: Say what you will do now.
You walk over to the statue to have a closer look. It is made of stone and either very well sculpted or the demon itself was trapped as stone. You do remember old hag's stories about being turned to stone, but you are not sure if it applies here.
You listen and hear nothing but the breath that comes from your lungs as you try to anticipate the future...
GM: Say what you will do now.
You make our way down the ladder nice and steady. LaReina goes down first then Heric and last is Kettle while looking at the demon.
At the bottom you see a passageway that is fairly long and disappears into the darkness. You do notice on the ground ahead - water. This seems to be an extension of the water above as you see water falling ever so quietly against the cave walls unto the groun on which you stand.
GM: Say what you will do now.
You decide to follow the passage. At first your feet/boots start to get wet from the water on the ground, then you notice they become drowned by the depth. You are up to one foot of water now and you notice ahead that it gets deeper! How deep you are not certain, but it looks like it will take a whole man.
Ahead you see a cave room and that the water goes to one side, but where you are you will have to pass through, or swim to get to other side as there seems to be a large drop in the ground. The prospects of all of this seems to be both frightening and worrisome.
