Javier Cortes scored from a spectacular scissors kick on Sunday as UNAM Pumas drew 1-1 with Chivas to remain among the only two undefeated teams in Mexico. Xavier Baez put Chivas ahead from a free kick in the 78th minute. A minute later, Carlos Orrantia sent a cross from the right wing to Cortes, who contorted his body to strike the ball past goalkeeper Luis Michel.
