Scowling, Kettle removes and wrings out her sopping wet, soft boots, and dries her feet with her cloak, while trying to make sense of the evil-smelling symbol on the cave floor... 8 pointed star, with an 8 pointed star inside it. What could it mean? But the worst is the shackles dangling from the wall, and bloody! She shivers, teeth chattering as she ponders the three doorways/openings on the far wall... hmmm. Kettle pulls her boots back on -- still wet, but at least not dripping anymore. "What's next, mates? Do we sing the 'eeny meeny miney moe' song to choose which door we examine first? Or shall we draw lots?"

Kettle hunkers down next to a point of the star to examine the candles and sand more closely, as the group ponders their next move. She pokes a candle with her dagger to see how soft it is...may be a clue as to how long it's been sitting. Pinching a small bit of the white sand, Kettle sniffs it.

Shall we just take each door in turn, start with the one closest to where we are, and then move to the next? I don't think we should split up down here. How about tossing a couple of rocks into each doorway, to see if it triggers anything?

Since I'm at work alot I won't be on til maybe this saturday. So I'm going along with anything that isn't dangerous to me. I'm game so let's go.

We should not split up,not down here.What to do....what to do.......we could make camp for a little rest,dry our boots,regroup,or press on through another tunnel.either way I'm game,I'll lead if you want.We can take it nice and slow like always.

Heric is having trouble understanding why the duke would hire people off the street just to dump them off in some remote guard tower,which has evil circles in the floor. This deffinately goes beyond escorting does'nt it?Does this still count as danger pay? -->

All your ideas are very good. We can both smell the air at each tunnel and also toss some rocks into each one of them.

FarSeer's idea of using her cloak to dry her feet is also good, I suggest that the others who are not wearing leather boots do the same.

about making a camp there, I don't think we have much free time there, our torches won't last forever :-\

Maybe we could eat some rations and/or drink some of our water (not the one in the cave), and then go on.

#Alex may not be very wise, but he knows that they are not in a good situation at all. However he is very worried on whether they will receive their money or not. His thief's soul can't forget the shine of gold coins#

Sorry my posts have been late,I've been a little busy and will be busy tomorrow as well, not as late as today, but still.....
