Ok guys, it seems we'll have to buy our own horses. I suggest we ask for enough money for each one to buy a horse and food for it (it'll be a 140 miles trip for us). Of course they would have to pay us now.
It would be:
horse - 52 coins
saddle - 12 coins
saddle blanket - 5 coins
+ food for the horse:
oats (2 days) - 1 coin
all these would be 70 coins.
we could also buy:
oats bag - 4 coins
saddle bag - 4 coins
all that would be 78 coins (each)
We could try to negotiate 90 or 100 coins each, he's a wealthy duke after all.
What do you guys think?
Offtopic but, I didn't want to double post, but the edit button disappeared from my other post |
Leirs, jeffgson has left the game. I suggest you take the leadership, you've playied this game a lot more than me. If you don't feel like doing that, I'll take the lead without any problem.
Now that he left the game, you should be the one to talk to the man, you have a higher soul. Maybe the GM will make him leave the room and ask for us to finish the negotiation or something like that.
It would be great if we could get 100 coins, but we should at least get 85.
We can say in the party order that we start asking for 100, and if the man refuses we keep lowering it until he accepts. We also have to state our point of view, something like this:
"Mister, please take into consideration that it will be a 140 mile trip for us, and coming back without the caravan will be a lot more dangerous. Besides, providing our own supplies and equipment will require a considerable amount of money. We are willing to protect the Duke with our lives, and the life of a man costs much more than what we're asking"
That should help us to convince him.
