ooc:I have been here alot today and not much has happened,is this normal?
I would be leader if I knew how to do all the cut and paste that is required.I just dont like the GM to waste his time on us.I've made up alot of adventures in my time,and there is nothing worse than it not being appreciated.

OOC:We really need to get on with this,what happened to everyone?
The party order needs to be addressed,so here is my input.

I will gladly take 2nd leader position,if there is no other takers.
we also need to decide other specifics as well,like our openfield formation,firewatches,who will disarm traps,who will attack first,and so forth.

After that is established we can move on,to the adventure.From what I can tell,but we're about out of time.

I'm online for hours at a time,at diff hours of the day,so it is not hard for me to reply at least twice a day,or more than that if necessary.

Ok we need to post the party order today. So I'll take the lead and Dio will be the second on position. I'll work on the party order now and after that we can discuss it here if we need to change anything.

I'll also say in the party order that we're going to check out the wagon.

From previous info on the subject it looks like it is a 70 mile trip one way.140 if we plan to return to the village,that would be more like 4 days total,of course I'm sure the duke will not want to pay for time spent returning to the village.And it is unlikely that we will be able to negotiate for enough money to buy the horses and all,I have the necessary equip as far as food,and water are concerned,we just need some horses."

ooc: from the last negotiation, the man scoffed at anything more than one gold a day. How long does it take to go 70 miles? Are we going through the forest -- if we are, that is supposed to be like the scariest thing in Medieval, so we should get hazard pay. I'm willing to buy a couple of horses since I seem to have the most FP to convert into gold (and because I'm a jeweler and I have some nice stones in my pack, I can barter with someone in the market). Didn't the last band of escorts ride on the back of the duke's wagon?

The shout from inside the wagon was a bit startling, and Kettle takes hold of LaReina's elbow to nonchalantly walk back to the group. Just then, the man calls again for an escort party. As Heric has agreed to negotiate, the women join Alex in waiting for word.

OOC:I would say on average a wagon could travel 15-20 miles per day,maybe a little more.but I'm sure it could'nt do 40,it would also depend on the terrain.You are right farseer about the other escorts riding the back of the wagon,but here again the Gm mentioned we would need our own transportation,so your offer to barter for horses does'nt sound too bad,besides we will need trans. back to the village,unless we plan to stay where ever we are going.

I think we should at least get 10gp per day to spilt after hazard pay and all.
But perhaps I should lower it a little.We are going to take about 3-4 days to get there,so at 1gp perday and 1gp hazard pay per day,we are looking at 8gp per day for all of us,and 24-32gp depending on how long it takes.How does that sound to everyone?

As the last band of escort rode in the back of the wagon, I believe we're going to travel this way too. If we have to buy our own horses we'll find it out after the next party order anyway.

So here's my proposal, using your ideas:

Heric will talk to the man and introduce the party for the job. We could start asking for 15gp each, but stating in the party order that we're open to negotiations, and if the man refuses our request we'd ask 10gp for each one of us.

2gp per day for each one could do as well, but each one would get 10gp only if we escorted him for 5 days, and probably it won't take so much time. We could work for 3gp a day maybe, but we can still ask for a set amount each, like 10 or 15gp.

Whe could use the hazard argument to convince him to pay us up to 20gp maybe.

Probably the payment is going to be done half now and half after, but that's something we can ask him as well.

ooc: sorry been gone for so long. i didn't think this was gonna get off i missed so much anyway. if possible i would like to travel on the back of the wagon specially since i am a warrior and it would be more helpful if i wasn't on the back of a horse where it would take time to get on and off... and maybe it wouldn't cost too much money on me to get horses. Did that make sense. I also like the party order and I too am able to post maybe 2 or 3 times day. so let's party.
