The irresponsible person (I have other terms in mind but cannot write them here) who killed this poor man (Ramom Sabga) has been arrested and charged (7 charges). It is absolutely crazy to see the way people drive in Trinidad and Tobago. My deepest condolences to the Sabga family at this time of deep grief.

Comments: I knew the Sabga family very well. Ramon, Carlos, Janet and Richard. I lost a sister to a drunk driver in 1976 and never was this person punished or my family compensated. Something must be done as far as justice for these unnecessary killings / accidents.
Macoomey I totally agree with you, something must be done. I am very disappointed at the fact that the perpetrator of this crime was given a bail of $150,000TT. As far as I'm concerned, bail shouldn't be an option taking into consideration that this guy was charged with dangerous driving, failing to report the accident, driving without both insurance and a valid driver's permit, driving a vehicle without the owner's consent, failing to render assistance following the accident and driving under the influence of alcohol. Are you kidding me? He should be locked for good!
I am shocked reading the comments of people in the newspapers about this case. They're saying the reason the police is moving so quickly is because the victim was Sabga and a whole bunch of nonsense. They're indirectly blaming the victim. Trinis are just so envious of other people's success and hard work.
RIP Ramon.
Our policemen cannot do anything right unless the person is famous or rich? I don't agree. There may be bad apples in the police force but just because they caught those involved in Sabga's death early doesn't mean its because of his name.
Some of you live in a bubble yes. How many cases we have of victims such as Ramon Sabga where the perpetrator has never been caught even though there was overwhelming evidence? Heck they didn't even arrested them. .gif So how come the police acted so quickly in this case?
