Thinking About Death

Comments: Do you think it is normal to think about death a lot? I don't mean like suicide or anything like that just death itself. Death is all around us and happens all the time. Its supposed to be a passageway to the next realm so it shouldn't be seen as a negative thing.
I think it depends on how you think about it. Some time ago I put a similar thread because I go through exactly the same thing however my doctor told me it isn't normal to think too much about it and it can make you depressed but I totally agree with you there is just a passageway between life and death and we shouldn't be scared about it.
When we contemplate death we have to wonder what has died. Has our present existence been erased from this earth? That appears true. Has our existence in the universe been erased? Can we really be erased into nothingness?
How are we defined? Each of us has a DNA code number. For a universe from minus infinity to plus infinity, our DNA code number repeats forever. At the present time we appear on a huge amount of Earths in the universe. If one of us is erased from the present Earth, millions of us still exist elsewhere.
In general all of us are eternal creatures of this universe. All of us cannot die. All of us are interconnected to our clones in the universe. When we perish on this Earth there is spiritual pressure to reproduce us elsewhere. Thus the totality of us always returns to life and is never extinguished.
Interesting theories, but my main point is are you just hypothesizing or do you have facts to back this up? Those in the psychedelic movement believe the spirit molecule gives them a similar enlightenment but it does not make it fact.
There can be no facts as such to back up such claims. Such encounters would have to produce great scientific facts from the encounters.
In general many people rely upon their visions or hallucinations. Religions are the result of visions or hallucinations of the various religious leaders of old.
The believers are happy to take the visions or hallucinations as truth. The Bible specifies that the universe was produced in 6 days. People of old accepted this. If the bible had specified the exact scientific production of this Earth including all the comets and historical production of the dinosaurs and many species, then as man grew scientific, man could compars the bible with the data being produced.
Therefore the validity of the Bible is negated as man grew older. The same is true of the existence of myself upon billions of Earths at the present time and forever. I believe it to be true. When my mind goes into a hallucinatory state I see that it is true. However other than very limited personal data, I have very little scientific data to report. Therefore the connection between me and the totality of all the others me's cannot be proven to myself or anyone else.
When I was 42 years this bothered me quite a lot. At 72 I have to conclude that the connection may be true or false. And more likely false than true.
