World Autism Awareness Day is on the 2nd of April, 2011. I hope something is done to help promote this. Those looking on at these Threads should try to promote TTSpecialKids.com because it is the only real place people can learn what life is like with special needs children in Trinidad & Tobago. I also hope the Autistic Society makes a bigger impact by seeking out direct help from the government to help these special needs children.
JB I usually see a news clip around that time on TV6 news but I think maybe the effort should be bigger and more than just a "meeting". The ASTT have a lot of willing people to help around and a place, I think is a great way to start however I heard they have been in the same boat for many years and change needs to take place.

Comments: Hello,
I have a 19 month old son for whom I have some concerns. I would like to know if you can advise where I can take him for an Autism analysis.
You will need to go to a specialist doctor BUT I can tell you already that 99% of the doctors here do not like to diagnose children under the age of five which is contrary to how it is done in the USA to ensure early intervention.
What suspicions do you have about your son that you feel you need "Autism analysis"?
