The New 2005 Mustang

Has any one seen the new 2005 Mustang?

I think the convertable is ugly but I like the hardtop. But another thing they changed was the drivetrain, front wheel drive is good but for the Mustang it has to stay rear wheel drive.

I think that the Mustang should stay a rear wheel drive. I mean, it really doesn't even look like a Mustang to me. But of course, I lean more towards the older classic look. wink.gif

I wouldn't want to own one of the new style Mustangs. I looks like a compact can more than a car. All this designing for a better, smoother, more aero dynamic body, definitely takes away from the look of the car.

Now, I love the covertible. I think it is closest to the look of the original. Looks a lot like the '66 model, but more modern. I don't see why it can't be front wheel drive either. Sports cars are supposed to handle well, and I think front wheel drive handles better than real wheel drive - especially in snow! wink.gif

Thats the best restyling I've ever seen!!!!!! I want one.
I cant wait to see one on the road.hopefully they will release a GT500 version,so you can give 'vette owners a run for their money.

I give it up to Ford on this one,if it was chevy they wouldve scraped it,I mean what happened to the firebird?they just killed it.Probably because they couldnt keep up with Ford on this one.

I like this new Mustang a lot better than the last model. The last model looked like a round bulbous sissy car with a V8. The new Mustang is pretty cool though. I have seen awsome models of Mustangs through the years and the 2005 is cool. wink.gif

Oh the memory of my old '89 mustang gt. That was a ride and a half. Lots of power, yet felt like a tank. The '05 looks different but I would still like to take it for a spin.

**melts** I adore Mustangs. I am a Ford girl. smile.gif The 2005 was based off of the Shelby body from back in the 60s. I love it! I was not a fan of the 1999-2004 because they were starting to get so big. They aren't supposed to be big and bulky! I passed one on the road a couple weeks ago and it made my car vibrate. I was in Heaven! Then it went away. Heh heh.
