Life During The Millennium - Page 2

It's my understanding that a lot of temple work will be going on, is that right thinking? And would that be people doing their own work who have been recently resurrected? Or would we still be performing work for the dead? Wouldn't geneaology still be a huge undertaking, or will the books/records be suddenly irrelevant?

I think we will be extremely busy. If we aren't actively seeking to progress for ourselves, we will be doing work for others, serving others, and teaching the Gospel to those who aren't members of the Church.

Yes, there will be many who aren't members. As long as they live a Terrestial law, they will be able to live in the "metropolis" of Zion, etc.

What of the faithful inhabitants of other planets? Will they too live here on earth, and if so will they do Temple work as well? Just wondering

Each earth goes through its own time and process, I believe that is why there are dispensations, periods of time where the Lord knows how an earth's people are progressing. There will be one earth already Celestialized and another somewhere else that is now in the creation stage, it is after all one eternal round. Basically, all of that is to say that each earth is dealt with by its' own inhabitants.

The Lord said that in His Father's House there are many Mansions and so I believe everyone has their 'domain', I doubt they will necessary have to 'live' here. I think the concept of where we will be or live or stay are relative only this life because we are decaying beings. All this in my opinion.

That's a very good question. I am not sure. I tend to think that will happen as JB described OR who knows, since there will be many people who does not know about the Gospel, we will be able to preach the Word to them and that may include other good people from other planets.

Here's what I think:
Those who are alive during Christ's reign on this earth will be here because they were so righteous that they were spared in all the chaos... not to say that all who deserve it will survive, but that all of the wicked won't make it. It will require priesthood power and deep faith to make it through those times for some, and those who live during Christ's reign will be able to withstand anything satan throws at them. He'll be bound because there won't be bad influences from other people who are weaker, and the righteous will uplift each other to be spiritually strong. This makes me wonder, because we should really be working towards avoiding temptation in every way and withstanding anything that's thrown at us, if we even hope to have the chance to live during that period.

JB, just curious on how you draw that conclusion. If that were the case than that third of the host of heaven were cast to just are planet or all of them? If the Atonement was an eternal one would it not be for all the worlds? If the third was only cast to this earth than are the others exempt from evil spirits or is this "plan" all encompassing so that the judgment goes for all the planets? You cant have a judgment for a planet if its still in its creation phase. What are your thoughts?
