Consumer Price Index jumps 3.4 percent in San Diego region

Rising energy and food costs drove up the national and local Consumer Price Indices, released Thursday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Nationwide the CPI rose 3.6 percent and in San Diego the index was up 3.4 percent in July, compared to the previous 12 month period. Ref. Source 7
