Egypt's tourism down by third
Egypt expects to earn about $9 billion from tourism in 2011, down by about a third on a year earlier after many visitors were deterred by an uprising that toppled Hosni Mubarak in February and unrest that followed, a senior official said on Tuesday. Ref. Source 9
Jihadi group warns tourists to leave Egypt:
Jihadi group Ansar Beit al-Maqdis on Tuesday claimed the suicide bombing in Egypt of a tour bus that killed three South Koreans and their local driver. The militant group told tourists to leave Egypt and threatened to attack anyone who stays in the country after a deadline of February 20. Ref. Source 7
