PrestaShop is committed to perpetuating its vision of open source. That's why next week we will be migrating to GitHub.
GitHub provides local branching, which will include the development branches of PrestaShop v1.4 and v1.5, as well as the native modules housed within.
Users can review PrestaShop's code, make improvements, and then submit those improvements for review. If accepted, your changes will be implemented inside PrestaShop's source code. Ref. PrestaShop
