MANILA, Philippines — A man who was arrested by the police almost five years ago in Pasig City for selling illegal drugs has been found guilty and sentenced by a Pasig City Court to life imprisonment.

In a 21-page decision, Pasig City RTC Branch 151 Judge Maria Teresa Cruz-San Gabriel found the accused Ramonito Villarta alias "Monet" guilty beyond reasonable doubt of violating Sections 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of drugs) under Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
