The blooper reels were GREAT! I really enjoyed watchin them.
I too wondered how they were going to continue the movie into the sequel. I almost see Orlando Bloom reverting to the life of a pirate and of course Johnny Depp would end up being somewhere in the mix. But that's just my opinion though.
yeah, if anything, i think they will have orlando being a pirate in the second, i can't see any way around it... unless they do something with 'will' and 'elizabeth' having children and the story continuing with them, but i don't think that will be the case
PIRATES OF THE CARABIEN WHATS THAT? I do own the movie but I haven't watched it yet. if you can imagin. alothough I do have my own pirates down stairs I guess that I should one day watch it. after all I am called a $2.00 pirate myself. ( A Buck an Ear). alright I'll stop. I now have 4 treasure chest full of booty.(gold and things not baby shoes).
:--> my friend would go crazy if she heard some one say they haven't seen 'Pirates' yet. Well, she's a little TOO obsessed, but it's a good movie, and will probably be talked about for a while. I recommend watching it, at least once, just because its a good movie.
I think the sequel is supposed to be about Elizabeth (or possibly children, not very sure) getting kidnapped and needing to be rescued again. Not sure where I heard it from, so not sure how reliable that is. Also, I loved Johnny Depp in this. I think he made a wonderful pirate. ("But why the rum??")
I watched this movie last night and I don't see what all the raving is about. In my opinion it was just o.k. Not great, not even one of the best I have seen, just o.k. It was a good movie, but I don't see what all the excitement is for. Yes, the special effects were good, but that isn't a surprise any more is it? Beyond that, I don't see that it was all that special. I watched Chocolat on Monday and found that a much better movie than this even though it didn't have special effects.
Oh well, to each their own.
I had a hard time with Johnny Depp as -- not only a pirate, but an *insane* pirate. With makeup and beaded braids in his beard. Weird. What I *did* like was how they used actual scenes from the Pirates ride at Disneyland in the movie -- the dog with the key to the jail cell, now that was classic.
Not a little kids movie, that's for sure. Pretty creepy stuff. Overall, I liked the movie, but it's not on my top 10 list
IMO

Great movie! Well done and Johnny did very well as a drunk pirate (insane?). He handled that accent like a natural. The scenes were well photographed and the acting on par. The comedy was both original and blended well with the rest of the scenes. I wonder if they will make a part II?
