The Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite, which was expected to crash through the Earth's atmosphere, is "down," NASA said Saturday.
In a message posed on its Twitter page, the space agency said debris from the satellite fell to Earth between 11:23 p.m. ET Friday and 1:09 a.m. ET Saturday.
About two dozen pieces of the satellite were expected to survive the descent. Ref. CNN
