What exactly is a Saturation Dive when divers go deep into the ocean?

I'm no expert diver but I do like to learn things so I know a bit of what this means. When deep sea divers go beyond 600 feet in the ocean they accumulate a lot of pressure so they have to breathe special gases to equalize the pressure inside their bodies to match outside. Maybe someone who knows more can explain it better.
