O'side man gets life for fatally stabbing tourist
A man who attacked and fatally stabbed a woman he had asked for money outside an Oceanside shopping center two years ago was sentenced Monday to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus seven years. Ref. Source 6

As far as I'm concerned, old boy deserves what's coming to him. Only question I have at this point is, what in UK law would give the perpetrator an extra 7 years on top of an already life without parole sentence.
