Cagliostro's little 'magic' show seems to delight the younger lads and lasses of the community as they plead with you for more.
GM: Say what you wish to do not making sure to post actions for all characters.
Cagliostro decides it is time to depart. In the process of doing so he allows one of the children a coin. This causes a frenzy among the children as they follow his horse for some ways.
Both of you return to the camp and share your versions of the events.
Cagliostro notices that his purse and coins are missing much to his dismay. He curses his naivety that all the children surrounding him were just looking at magic tricks while some were actually doing magic on him.
GM: Remove purse and all gold from Cagliostro. Say what you wish to do now.
As you converse about the previous misfortune you hear a crackling in the nearby bushes. Then some shuffling over on the opposite site - you are not alone. You immediately become panicked as you see grisly cloaked figures emerge from behind trees. They are not like the Bandits you are accustomed to but seem to be more of the common sort related to the East City peasantry. As you look around you see that it is not just one or two but a band of ten have surrounded you. They stand about 20 feet away still somewhat lodged between the surrounding vegetation. One steps forward and in a most uncharismatic manner says,
"So... What did ye come in fer... A little magic?"
Those surrounding you cackle as though they were in a tavern. The man then parades his hands as though he were casting some spell, he then laughs as he mimics Cagliostro's earlier coin trick.

Upon seeing this most brazen attempt at humiliating Cagliostro and the rest of you by this thuggish individual, you each decide on some equally sarcastic and yet no less violent returns. This causes the bold talker to step back and unsheathe a rather well used short sword that was hidden on his person. Those surrounding you do the same without hesitation revealing various weapons: meat choppers, pitch fork, daggers and a short spear.
GM: Everyone send in their combat rolls ensuring that you fill in all fields properly.
Cagliostro, annoyed by the sarcasm from the stranger decides upon a resolve,
"That's the wrong way, friend. The movement has to be more fluid, like this!"
He then attempts to strike him but slashes the wind instead.
The man laughs but does not take it likely as he telegraphs his move to hit back. Cagliostro, the coward that he is, then looks for the nearest tree to climb which is near one of the rogue peasants. Cagliostro's 'mimic' follows him closely behind.
This commotion leads to combative reactions from the rest of the party members.
John misses terribly and would otherwise be hit himself were it not for his armor.
Aose hacks one of the men to the ground in one movement causing a jerk reaction from those nearby, but they still move in.
Dante stabs one of the men and he falls to the ground while trying to parry using his pitch fork.
Lady Godiva sends one of the men to the next elemental plane as he gasps for breath from her sword.
GM: Say if you wish to do anything differently otherwise combat continues.
You fight on...
John strikes with his long sword and hits a peasant rogue on his arm but does not kill him. The injured man yells out with pain and begins to retreat into the woods. Two others are trying to wound John but are not successful.
Aose strikes down another man and upon seeing this the third peasant rogue nearest to Aose begins to run into the woods.
Cagliostro is fortunate that the 'joker' behind him swings at his back but also misses. Cagliostro heads for the nearest tree and is blocked by a rogue peasant but in what seems to be a miracle he hits the man on his legs causing him to yell out as he drops to the ground. Cagliostro then attempts to climb a tree thus giving the joker a chance to hit him, and he does thus bringing Cagliostro down to the grassy earth below. The peasant laughs at your misfortune and takes the time to whisk his blade through the air as though he did a magic trick.
GM: Cagliostro takes 2HP
Dante hits another opponent wounding him sufficiently that he throws his weapon to the ground and begins running into the forest. Dante also retreats to his horse for a pursuit.
Lady Godiva hacks down another of the peasant rogues and is now free to turn her attention to elsewhere in the battle.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
During the middle of battle...
Cagliostro is angered by the continued harassment of this evil man, but to save his dignity he attempts to stand. The 'joker' continually waves his blade around in a drunken manner while making childish sounds with his lips and cheeks to imitate something glorious happening. This gives Lady Godiva a chance to attack him from behind. As Cagliostro stands fully he looks for his enemy only to see Lady Godiva has already stopped his laughter permanently.
Meanwhile...
Dante attempts to pursue on horseback those that escape but he finds the process a bit difficult at times because of thickets and fallen trees. Despite this he does manage to slay the injured one.
Aose, now a zealot for this cause, follows the nimble rogue peasant through the woods but finds himself unable to catch up to him for a decisive attack as the man goes in and out of trees and over rocks with precise familiarity.
At the camp...
John continues his attack slaying another peasant while one runs in a different direction that the man John injured earlier.

Dante dismounts, leaves his horse standing, and pursues the man through the forest on foot. After about half a mile of pursuing him the man makes it to the main road and is running in the open way ahead of you. You try to catch your breath. You feel as though you have carried a tree stump on your back given all your belongings. You now miss your horse as you look on at the man disappearing in the distance.
Bruconero looks for the man whom he attacked while going up the tree, but he is not there, you assume he has abandoned the cause and made his way into the forest for an escape.
Aose knows his bow makes an arrow much faster than him... He shoots and finishes off the rogue peasant before he could get any further.
Lady Godiva mounts and pursues any remaining peasants. Like Dante she begins to find the task difficult on horseback but sees the man Cagliostro injured ahead and not gaining much distance from her.
John sees the last rogue standing with his mouth open, pondering his certain fate. He attempts to run but John slashes at him before he can escape thus causing him to fall roughly to the ground. Unable to walk he keeps crawling towards the forest while looking back at you in a frightened manner.
