At the river...
The wild boar charges forward but Aose is able to jump out of the way of her initial attack. Aose tries his own counter attack in the process but misses terribly.
The wild boar circles about in silence and then grunts and charges again, Aose holds his ground hoping to get a clean swing with his hand axe. As the two of you merge closer Aose comes to terms with how 'worthy' his opponent is as Aose feels the power of the wild beast goring into him - he falls to his back bleeding. Before Aose can register his pain he does swing hitting the beast on her side with a blow that would normally doom a man but merely wounds the hog. The wild beast squeals but merely circles to charge again.
GM: Aose takes 4HP damage.
At that point...
Lady Godiva commands her warhorse to stay and attempts to go over to help Aose despite not knowing exactly what is going on.
Sometime during these events...
The West camp, after hours of little activity, becomes highly irritated and too relaxed in watching their 'catch' of rouge peasants. The following happens:
One of the peasants starts to sweat cold. Lack of care to his wounds is making him sicker... Dying perhaps.
Another suddenly is missing. It is Grouth who points this out to the others as his captive is still well held near him. There is a sudden panic... Where did he go? you wonder while search your immediate surroundings.
GM: Say what you wish to do now being specific with your timeline.
By the river a battle against beast and man continues...
Aose fights on not willing to be known as the man who ran from a wild boar.
He attempts his own grunt and charge at the boar who in like manner returns his gesture. As the two of you clash the last thing Aose remembers is the awesome trust of the boar goring into him.
GM: Aose is unconscious at 0HP.
Lady Godiva comes upon the scene seeing the axe of Aose stuck in the back of the wild beast. Aose did hit but not for the kill Lady Godiva observes.
GM: I need combat rolls for Lady Godiva.
Around this time...
Dante mounts and begins a search for the missing peasant with no immediate luck.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Lady Godiva comes upon the beast interrupting her pursuance of Aose's lymph body.
Lady Godiva strikes and hits the beast an almost fatal blow but the creature still wildly pushes into her causing blood to flow. Lady Godiva steeps back with her injury as the beast circles about and then seemingly disappears into the bushes leaving a trail of blood that insures it will die soon.
GM: Lady Godiva take 2 HP damage.
Lady Godiva then tends to Aose's wounds trying her best to bind it with whatever she can but he is in bad shape and needs more done to make him stable. She gets her horse, but finds it difficult to load Aose and all his equipment given Lady's average strength. She leaves all his things behind save for his armor. She loads him on her horse after significant effort. She then races towards the West camp.
In the meanwhile...
Dante searches on horseback but has no luck thus far.
Later at the West camp...
Lady Godiva arrives with a helpless Aose, who is still breathing but very shallow.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Lady Godiva returns to her waiting place by the river closely followed by John.
The daylight begins to dim...
Dante returns to the camp feeling a sense of defeatism. Upon seeing Aose in blood he inquires frantically about what he has missed.
After awhile...
Cagliostro, a herbalist, knowledgeably tends to Aose who was once on the verge of death but now after a couple of hours of attention and rest seems to be coming around. Still his wounds are grievous and he needs more than what Cagliostro can give if he is to heal faster.
GM: Aose is now on 1 HP and can interact with the party.
At the meeting place by the River...
At the appointed hour that Horde's referral said he would come, which is near dusk, there is no one to be seen or heard. In fact, only the loudness of frogs welcoming in the night make you aware that 'anything' is around. You begin to think it unwise to remain out here when it is fully the dark of night.
Back at the camp...
Darkness begins to get you edgy... You deliberate starting a fire.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Lady Godiva and John return to tell about their wasted effort. Feeling defeated you once again return to the Village having not even passed the walls of East City. The depression of another battle lost is all too familiar to Lady Godiva and Dante having had many unsuccessful attempts against the Dark Cleric.
After some time...
You get back to the Village by 8pm. You are tired and in need of rest. Aose is in critical need of medical attention.
GM: Aose needs to clear his equipment slot of everything but his armor as that was left in the area of the Wild Boar. You will need to state in detail what each party member will do now, for how long, etc.
The Village is rather quiet at this hour. With the greater part of the population being elderly there isn't the constant favor of activity as there might be in other places. Mostly, any kind of activity revolves around the Village Tavern and even that is limited to indoors.
Abruptly Dante and John retire to their own homes with no care for the rest of the party or the prisoners.
Cagliostro asks for directions from Lady Godiva about where Aose's items are located and then in like manner also heads to his home.
Aose and Lady Godiva remain in a melancholy mood perhaps from the despair of not accomplishing what they had set out for - they find themselves seemingly wandering around. Their wanderings are halted by the Village guard asking who they are and their business in the Village.
GM: I need a D20 Soul roll for Lady Godiva and Aose
Afterwards...
Grouth, on foot and probably a bit annoyed that he is left to this task, tries to take the prisoners to the elders on his own, but in doing so one of them escapes - he runs through the Village and into the darkness of the night.
GM: I need a D20 Roll against Soul for Grouth. Grouth also has his own home in the Village however if he still wishes to head for the Tavern to find a room to sleep he can do so. Say what you wish to do now.
The Village Guards tell Aose and Lady Godiva to continue on their way. You do so and after a couple of minutes you arrive at the Village Healer's abode. He opens the door after your call and immediately attends to Aose. In the course of doing so you learn that to have yourself restored to full health will mean 85 GPs and at least a month's recovery in bed. Lady Godiva, still there, looks on.
GM Aose needs to directly respond to what he wishes to do about this as a month in the game is calculated in real game time or in other words what the 'slowest' player is doing that requires daily action as opposed to time speeded up.
During this time...
Grouth curses his loss of a prisoner due to the folly of those who were supposed to be with him, but as it turns out irony smiles on him as he is somewhat relieved to find that the Village Guard have caught the rouge peasant running through the darkened areas of the Village and they have declared that they will help you escort these 'types' to the Village jail. Grouth does so with an explanation of what happened but he is advised to return to tell the Elders about it in the morning.
By this time...
John and Dante arrive to find Grouth returning from the Village jail and heading towards the Village tavern.
GM: That awkward moment could involve some unique role-play but that will be up to you in the Camp Thread.
Grouth then heads to the Village Tavern where he drinks and rests while looking at the wenches serving. There is not much talk tonight, there are not many there. Everyone seems to be in a melancholy mood but one wench in particular seems pretty busy around you to see if you may be interested in her appeal or extra services - her smile is rather tempting.
GM: So far Grouth has spent 1 GP.
Elsewhere...
Cagliostro decides to rest well in his home.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
The wench uses all her 'skills' to enchant Grouth.
GM: I need a d20 and d6 roll for Grouth.
Meanwhile...
Aose consents to the doctor's cost and time as he gets ready for some minor surgery.
The next day...
You gather together at the Tavern in the morning period, all save for Aose and Cagliostro. In the Tavern it is more lively now, lots of travelers are in for breakfast, ale and talk.
During this time...
Cagliostro has already made an early morning run to acquire Aose's belongings.
GM: Please clarify "Black horse" and roll D20 against Soul.
