Dante looks around and then suddenly slaps his neck - mosquitoes! The invisible blood suckers let him know that just standing there makes him a rather large meal.
GM: Dante roll D20 against Body.
In the mean time...
Lady Godiva starts casually browsing around much to the delight of the old man who has not had company for a long while. The old house is typical but rather unkempt, the woman's touch has not been seen here for quite some time as is evident by the layers of dust and cobweb. On the wall is an old painting of his dearly departed wife whom he is not lost for words in saying how he misses her.
Another painting hangs next to his wife's... It is of his daughter he says. Lady Godiva notices her exquisite beauty captured by the artist's hand. The old man says she was married some years ago and moved away. He chuckles about how easy it was for her to charm the local men folk.
Around this time...
John has a conversation with 'someone', maybe some of the mosquitoes trying to 'ask' his permission for a blood donation. John checks for prints. He does find some prints that matches wolves but he is also curious to find what looks like boot prints and that of a webbed star foot but he isn't sure what it could be.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Everyone seems uninvolved with one another and their whereabouts as you make different cross-crosses over the farm.
Dante looks at the prints. They are too big to be that of a bird and too small to be of a creature he has only heard about from stories.
John goes to the old man's house. The house is rather worn and offers nothing of interest.
Lady Godiva leaves the old man who salutes her work.
At the East of the pond Lady Godiva examines the same prints wondering what they could be from. Just then both her and Dante hear the sudden sound of a swish and splash in the middle of the pond - then silence again. You can see a white bird that was near the center of the pond fly away frantically into the night.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Surprised by the sudden noise Dante shines his lantern towards the location of the sound but sees nothing save for the large after ripples of the water which for sure could not have been made by the bird that flew away.
Meanwhile...
John keeps looking around the house but finds nothing relevant to the livestock being taken.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Lady Godiva starts looking for wood to start a fire. As she assembles a small pile she can hear something moving in the water again but she has no light source yet with which to see it well.
In the mean time...
Dante heads over to the farmer's barn. John meets with Dante at this point and they look for suitable items to make a barrier. In the process of doing so they hear the shout of a woman caught by surprise.
GM: I need combat rolls from Lady Godiva. If Dante and John go to investigate I need combat rolls from them as well.
Lady Godiva is frantically looking towards the pond as she hears the movement and can see only a slight glimmer of movement but it is too late. She yells out in excruciating pain as something has snapped at her leg throwing her to the ground. She let's out a horrendous scream.
By this time...
Dante and John arrive with the light to see a crocodile holding on to the shin of Lady Godiva while dragging her back into the swamp. Lady Godiva seems to be in so much pain that she can hardly move or think.
This gives opportunity for an attack on the creature while it is engaged with Lady Godiva. John stabs at the creature wounding it badly and causing it to release her grip of Lady Godiva but now it comes towards you. Dante also executes a blow that now causes the crocodile to wonder which person to attack so it instead begins to retreat into the water, however in doing so she uses her tail to try and throw you to the ground. She has success with John but misses Dante.
Dante stabs at her again but misses and it makes it back into the water as lady Godiva still sobs and clenches her teeth from her bloody wound, she then faints.
GM: Lady Godiva is on 0 HP. John takes -2 HP. Say what you wish to do now.
Quickly you take up Lady Godiva and make your way to the farmer's house. The old man is already standing outside trying to figure out what has happened.
"Was it wolves, did ye remove them?"
The old man asks not yet realizing that Lady Godiva is grievously injured. Then he sees her,
"Oh no, those bastards! Bring her inside!"
You follow the old man's words and lay her on top his huge oaken table. He begins cleaning the would and applying poultices as you explain what happened.
"Ye will need to take her to the Village healer, he can do more than I can do. But return because I will not be able to sleep knowing it prowls my farm."
Upon this advice you waste no more time and make your way there. The Village Healer quickly looks over her wounds, explains his fees and her recovery time. He then immediately goes to work shutting the door behind him.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Dante and John return to the farm intent on revengefully finishing the life of the crocodile. Upon arriving they see the farmer outside pacing and very concerned.
"I did hear one of meh sheep screaming and I was powerless to do anything. Please, rid this monster from me!"
Seeing that you have returned he enters his home once again.
You start a fire (I will assume this is on the East side of the pond where Lady Godiva started the process) and begin hunting for the crocodile but even with your current light source you do not see it.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Dante keeps watch while John ensures all is well with the livestock and barn. Everything has become eerily quiet considering the events earlier this night. By the time morning comes you are very tired but at the first break of light you start to eagerly survey the pond. You see the crocodile to one end almost belly up but not quite. You shoot a couple of arrows at it and end its life, you can tell by the lack of movement and its belly fully skyward.
GM: Deduct the 2 arrows. Say what you wish to do now.
