The Dark Cleric - Medieval RPG - Page 5

The Game Master says...

Feeling that you are not accomplishing anything here you make your way back to the Village at night. During the night you will have to camp, start walking more in the morning and possibly camp again before you reach back to the Village tired, exhausted and having done nothing but become victims of East City.

GM: Each of you should subtract 2 rations. Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

You venture to the Village Tavern where you recognize some of the folk. The Tavern owner welcomes you and bids you to sit as a wench makes a table straight for the four of you. She asks what you will be having. You gesture her thoughts about East City and all she can say is,

"That's a terrible place that city is... Why if you go there they might steal the boots from your feet if you stand around too long.'

She lets out a laugh very unbecoming of any lass but you see it as typical for such a place as a Tavern. She repeats herself again,

"So what will ye be having?"

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Neihao orders and generously pays for the meal and drinks in his party. You eat heartily and have not felt this content in a long time. The warm food makes you feel sleepy and Neihao also pays for rooms for the night. You know that after this you will be refreshed.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

In the process of paying you realized that you are a gold piece short. Embarrassingly you pull out another one and give it to the wench who looks at you indifferently.

GM: Pay an extra gold piece on your bill and discount it from your inventory. Say what you wish to do now, its been 3 days already.

The Game Master says...

Someone comes over to your table a bit drunk but yet familiar...

"Arent you that lad that owed me 2 gold pieces a couple of months ago?"

You readily admit that you are the person and pay up.

GM: One of you should minus the 2GPs from your inventory. It has been four days now and no Party Leader Post, it gets worst from here.

The Game Master says...

Jonathon Wilder boldly approaches the Village Tavern Owner with an outlandish request to perform for his supper. The Tavern Owner is quite surprised, never had such an option been placed in front of him before. He is a bit nervous wondering if it is some kind of trick especially knowing how the Villagers feel about anything of the sorts (magic), but looks at the Tavern and it is particularly full so he says,

"Well lad I hope ye are worth it and not come here to bring shame to my Tavern, what can ye do?"

As he awaits your answer he motions one of his wenches to get you some ale and a portion of the night's dinner.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

You show your old violin and your intentions to make merry with music. The Tavern owner nods and then goes over to the table where the rest of the Party is calling out to him.

GM: Let's see how good Jonathon Wilder is with making a Tavern merry... Roll Community Dice d20 against your soul, and let me know the number.

While Jonathon Wilder prepares himself the party proceeds to ask the Tavern owner about East City. He proceeds to tell you much of what you already know or at least what you have experienced thus far. He then says,

"That's all I can say mates unless ye have specific questions?"

GM: If you have specific questions that is better.

You also mention the Dark Cleric and he only tells you about the same rumors you already heard from the Village Elders.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

You ask about the Inn and their lack of liking to women folk to which the Tavern owner replies,

"That Inn is said to be a double for underground activity, its a right thing ye did by not going in because they might have robbed ye gold or ye soul. But I got to admit I had no knowledge of their lack of liking towards lasses... Their lost eh?"

With the last comment he winks and chuckles.

have ye talked with Horde? He is a regular dunk at heart but he knows about all of Medieval and could possibly be what ye are after. He is to the South of the Village by the end of the South woods. (He further describes and you know you have seen the place before).

The drunk nearby feels ignored about his lack of payment, he may start to get more rowdy if someone does not pay his dues. You can tell by his vocal interruptions every now and again that seem to get louder and louder.

Jonathon starts his performance and he is much appreciated as the Tavern's patrons cheer him on for being such an amusement that outshines the dullness of the Tavern. Even the Tavern owner wonders if such a charismatic musician will like to take up a regular job and asks Jonathon if he will accept.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.
