Out of Character: I didn't understand the reasoning behind that either good thing it wasn't east city. OK let's get on with it. We should promise ourselves not to return to this village without the head of the cleric.
Specific Action: Dante goes outside and looks for Lady Godiva he then motions towards East City and starts going towards it.
In Character: John thought to himself when he heard about the people complaining "Gosh, that coin man did it again".
Specific Action: Go outside and mount John's horse and when the group is ready to go to East City John will follow the them.
Out of Character: The reasoning about it is very simple. Look at the situation from both sides, in real life. Side1: you are in a pub with your friends and a drunk guy comes in saying you owe him a meal. What will happen? Trouble, not a friendly chat for sure.
Side2: You get drunk in a pub in your city and tell to a group of guys that one of them owes you a cheeseburger and a beer. You would get beaten badly.
At least, that's what would happen in my country and in my experience. If you guys live in a more tolerant place, lucky you. Cagliostro is the name of a legendary Italian sorcerer so, in some way, he shares my same blood. The only difference is that, in real life other patrons and the owner of the place, specially, would never defend the drunkard. The owner in particular would send him out right away to prevent troubles or call the police to have him sent away after he annoyed other customers. Business is business: we were paying while he was only annoying.
Ok, enough of that. Looks like we only need a black cloak then? If positive, let's make sure everybody owns one before we leave to East City. I'll visit the market. In the meanwhile, let's plan the trip. Day or night? Road or forest? Somebody will scout ahead? Marching order?
Out of Character: Sorry Bruce but we're not in Italy, we're in a medieval village inhabited by elderly people and we're probably the most outlandish figures around. I believe those sudden knee jerk actions is what will get us killed if you try to pull stuff like that in the city.
Anyway, we make sure we are all wearing cloaks. We head to east city, by the time we get close by it will probably be night. We continue until we get to the inn go in and take it from there.
Out of Character: This is probably a stupid question but I have a horse right? I seem to be like totally forgetting to enter what I get from past actions.
Out of Character: Yes, Play: you have a horse. Actually, now that sgtlee is missing, also KNtoran owns a horse.
I just saw that I have a black cloak already: whoever doesn't have please buy one at the market. I will buy time posting actions because nobody bought the cloak yet or, if you tell me is ok like this, I will just post that we go to East City in a random way and wearing a random outfit. I'll wait a little bit then post actions.
Fair, being this a medieval setting just makes my action look even more normal. I don't know which image you guys have about the Middle Ages but they weren't any pleasant nor civilized. In Europe, we consider that historical period like a return to barbarism after the splendors of the Greek and Roman domination. Is not by chance if the enforcement of the Magna Carta, in England in the year 1215, is considered one of the turning points that led from the Dark Ages to Humanism. For how limited that document was, and despite it being little more than an attempt of some local landowners to protect their privileges, is still the first trace after centuries of anything similar to Law or Right. In a real Medieval village inhabited by elderly people he would have been put in chains, stuck in a pillory and left on the main square until he died because of hunger or because of the beatings he got by the passersby (this was the level of love and understanding). His crime? Annoying somebody, Grouth, wearing an armor (which in the Middle Ages was like having a Villa nowadays).
Out of Character: Bruce if you have all the answers then maybe you should tell us where the dark cleric is instead of showing children magic tricks and hitting drunks in between their legs .
Out of Character: I don't have all the answers, I was just sharing something I had to study at school and that, for obvious reasons, I thought you guys didn't. Just like we don't study the American Civil War in Italy (Not more than two pages in my History book) so I would be glad if somebody gave me details about it, specially if I joined a game that uses that historical period as a setting.
So, no need to buy cloaks? Posting actions now.
