Fairmaiden: "How do we get in there? We tried to rent a room but they will not accept me in."
Jonathon offers a suggestion of disguises, either for just Lady Godiva or also the rest of the group as well, but will wait and see what Horde has as an answer.
Jonathon offers two ideas, one is to go where captured criminals are taken and acquire one or more of the prisoner, if temporarily, and see if any information can be gather from them. In addition he suggested setting a trap using the gold they had.
Neihao says how he would find a means of setting up traps and how to draw out bandits out, perhaps during the night.
Lady Godiva and Lancelot also feels that Jonathon's suggestion of visiting a prison and 'aquiring' a bandit there to hopefully gain needed information is also a good idea.
Hunda has joined the group after convicing the others his intentions are good and that he was sent by the Elders. He has also been brought up to date on what is going on.
Note: Seems both Jonathon's ideas have been agreed upon, as such lets see if we can do both. The group will first go to find a prison or the place where the village houses captured pristoners and then if that doesn't work on getting the needed information before going to East City we will set a trap for wondering bandits looking for easy loot. Okay, the group has put together a plan, admittingly with a bit of metagaming, in which they will setup two camps. One will be the decoy camp, the other the real camp. The decoy camp with have a fire going and 'dummies' of the group. This camp will be setup so that it is readily noticed by any bandits nearby. The other camp will have no fire and be hidden from view, yet near enough to the decoy camp so that the group can notice activity in that area and then get in ambush range. In addition Oliron's character will be setting up traps.
Tell me what rolls need to be made. Edited: Thomaslee on 10th Jul, 2011 - 9:20pm
Sorry for the long wait, which is my fault I have been busy.
The groups next plan is this: Jonathon, partly because of his high intellegance and partly because no one has seen him in East City, will take the position of recon and gather what information he can on such things as who goes in and out of the inn, inn's daily routine, some of the best know or popular bandits there, and what it takes to join in on the fun, exc. Such things that could help the group infultrate not only the inn but maybe the inner workings of East City, becoming a part of it. (If I need to roll/ rp this tell me.)
After that Jonathon will return to the group and help disguise the group, might need a roll to show whether or not he did a good job though Jonathon will most likely keep trying until he gets it just right, and then they will all go to the inn and try to 'hire' themselves off as rogue mercenaries. If for what ever reason none of this works much of the group is to bang a few heads or even fight to get what they what.
If any rolls are needed tell me and I will pass it on. Edited: Thomaslee on 13th Jul, 2011 - 9:44pm
You do not need to keep telling me about rolls. When it is time to roll I will inform you in the story. Keep in mind that the World of Medieval game play is based more on using your ingenuity and your select character traits rather than rolls like D&D, this gives your character a chance to conquer based on great role-playing rather than a dice roll, so do not focus on that.
Now I need details. In what way will you go to East City? What time? For how long? Where will the rest of the party be and what will they be doing?
Jonathon goes to gather information in the morning for part of if not most of the day, so not until later in the afternoon will he most likely return to the group. While he does this the rest of the group sets up camp again and makes more traps for the night, but this time there will be a single camp and we will just draw attention to ourselves yet be prepared if there is any trouble.
Not sure what you mean by how he gets in, I would think through the front gate would be all that is needed. Jonathon would not want to draw attention to himself by sneaking in through the back door, so to speak. Edited: Thomaslee on 14th Jul, 2011 - 8:40pm
