I don't have any fear about eating contaminated food from Japan because I'm an all American girl and don't mess with the foreign stuff much. America needs to calm down and stop getting all worked up about this like they did with the anthrax mail.

You can probably get more radiation from using your mobile lots than you can from some Japanese radioactive clouds moving across the Pacific.

I believe as long as there is a not a serious meltdown with one of the reactors then we are not going to see a lot of hazards from a increased amount of radiation in the air. You are correct we probably are experiencing more increased radiation from our and others cell phones.
The initial plume didn't really pose a threat. A major meltdown would be a concern, though. Fair Maiden, I wouldn't worry too much about food issues, either. We don't really import that much food from Japan. It's what's in the air that we need to be aware of.
