I would think that the ability to reproduce by angels mating with humans is also a good indicator of being of the same family line. I do find it interesting that this crossing of linage upset god so much that he chose to kill them and demote the entire lot to rank of demon. I also thought it strange that the angles were not punished as well.

I believe that the Earth is not 6000 years old. There was a civilization before Adam. The very fossils found (coal, oil) proves that the Earth is far far older that what we may believe. In Gen 1:1 it is written that "In the begining, God created the heaven and the Earth" Between verse 1 and verse 2 there is perhaps eons of time. It seems that God had an angelic civilization started in the begining and then the earth went through a cataclysmic change that explains the choas recorded in verse 2.The question is why was there "darkness" upon the face of the waters?. Here is what I believe and I can't quote all the scriptures at this time (will be too long) that the angels inhabited the earth, and it was like a "playground or retreat" for them. There were animals (now as coal and crude oil), plants \, trees and even buildings. There were 3 Leader Angels,(Archangel) Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer. They all had groups or kingdoms and they, as what we will say "hang out" in their Gold, silver, and other precious metals and precious stone buildings. See Jeremiah 4:23-29. Then according to Isaiah 14:12-15 Lucifer wanted to have a larger city than the other Archangels. Here is where pride, sin and rebellion first took place. Then came the cataclysmic changes in the earth and Michael and angels fought against Lucifer and his angels. Perhaps the the battle started on the earth between these very powerful beings (angels)that caused the earth to be in such an upheaval. These angels could not die in battle. How long the battle lasted? who one knows. Finaly Lucifer and his angels were driven off the earth and because they could not go up to live in heaven, they were exiled to atmosphere that is why darkness was upon the face of the deep in Gen 1:2. Remember God is light not darkness. My post may be too long so I will leave some more for another time if anyone is interested to hear more. Again this is my belief.

Comments: We all lived with God in Heaven before the world was formed, matter cannot be created nor destroyed. Lucifer and 1/3 of everyone rebelled and there was a great war. Lucifer fell from his achieved state and 1/3 followed him. They were cast out of Heaven. They dwell on the earth, tempting us to still follow Lucifer. They are spirits without body. They desire bodies. They would rather be in the body of swine than be without. We are here to learn and to choose good over evil.

Comments: Friends. I'm not a preacher, but a student myself. And just as you are looking for answers to questions, like the one currently under discussion on this thread, I too had been looking for the same. And Yes, I found the answers. Perfectly logical, practical and sensible.

Whether there was a social order/ world before Prophet Adam? Yes, there was one. Rather not just one, but many many more. But, sorry I can't tell you anymore than this due to the esoteric nature of this subject and the prohibition that I have sweared myself into of not disclosing anything deemed "classified" under the oath to outsiders.
