Boy sucked into boat propeller

A 12-year-old boy from Upper Hutt was badly cut on his head and back after being sucked in to the propeller of a boat his father was driving. Ref. Source 5

Boy Sucks Propeller Boat

I know how easy it is to get sucked under a boat. When I pull along side a skier or other person I cut the engine off entirely so that does not happen. I learned this after my brother and I almost had a serious accident. That is one thing I do not want to experience again. Even though no one was hurt it was a clear wake up call.
