Women Dominate The Wicca
Religion Based

Comments: Why do women dominate the Wiccas? Is it that it appeals more to women and not men? I thought about aligning myself with a group but I changed my mind when I found out I would be their first male participant!
It depends what kind of Wicca you mean.
There are all female groups, there are all male groups - But true Wiccan Covens must have a balance of both or the Energy focused by the group simply wont work.
Usually there are six male-female couples in a Coven with one single novice.
Of course there are no fast rules. So groups all over the world can have any mix of membership, all being said, it depends on the people that are interested in one area. Wicca does have a Feminine tradition, but what would the Moon be without her Sun? I have much enjoyed the Male aspect of Wicca, running with the Hunt is a great gift.
I believe men aren't as religious or inquisitive about mystical ideas as women are so they are not seen or involved as much.
This may be true, in most gatherings Men are usually fewer in number. But Men have held prominent positions in the Pagan community. The Druid orders of Britain are full of Male Bards, Ovates and Druids. The Freemasons are essentially a Pagan organization. The old Welsh shamanic tradition of the Gwyr Hysbys was Male dominated. Dianic Wicca is strong in America, but in our community a balance of gender is respected with great Magical Power. The strongest Magic is always made between Lovers.
