Brett Harrington Saves Daughter From Sex Offender
I am glad to read the guy was caught but sad to find out that they can only charge him with harassment. I really hope the authorities know what they are doing because this guy is obviously just waiting to attack again.

Luckily, her father quickly came to the rescue and tackled the suspect, Fox12 News reports.
Police cited Douglas Quinn and are charging him with harassment.
Shelby Harrington, 13, says Quinn approached her asking for her name and then tried to grab her by the shoulder.
She was able to get away and use her cell phone to call her dad. That's when the two started driving around the area looking for the suspect on their own. A few blocks away, they spotted him.
"I didn't know what to think. [Was] he was going to have a car come around the corner or what? My first instinct was just to run and call my dad," Harrington says. Source 5

He will be free in a few days but I think he has some drug charges so probably he will stay a little longer. I'm glad the kid is okay. Great job Brett!

I am glad it was him and not me. Some guy tried grabbing my daughter like that I may have been the one in jail after I beat the guy a few hundred times. Maybe the streets would be safe from him if he can not walk for six to eight weeks.

This annoys me that the guy was a sex offender so he obviously had the intention for God knows what and he just gets done for harrassment? He'll be out in a few days, and perhaps try with someone else's daughter who won't be around to save them. Well done to her father though. I'm with you Kntoran, I probably would be the one in jail if a psycho tried to nab my child. And I know you should leave it to the police, but if you see someone hurting your child, would you just let it go?

JC, the thing is you cannot charge or put in prison someone for what they "could do" otherwise a lot more people will be filling our prisons.
