Comments: I am making a web page but I was told I shouldn't use Java because most people have it disabled, is there any truth to that? I just want to make sure the guy isn't telling me that because he's jealous of the site I'm creating.

I would not recommend it either. In addition to smart users disabling Java you also have the element of some wise cracks that like to stuff viruses and that kind of stuff in them. Java can take over your machine so be careful with it and know what you are installing on your site.
