Comments: My favorite dog is now getting old and has developed mild epilepsy and most I can do is watch when he shakes on the floor. I feel real sorry for him. My family thinks I should put him to sleep because he could hurt himself, but I don't want to, not now. Any tips you can give me I will love it.

I had a very old female dog with cancer and epilepsy. It really broke my heart seeing her suffering everytime she had a seizure. My sister and I would just try to hold her arms so couldn't move (otherwise she would try to walk and hurt herself) and just calmly tell her that things were going to be ok.
